• Yes!!! That is the same receiver I’m using. I have a 5.2 setup. I took advantage of the 6th/7th channel to bi-amp them. It improved the high and low ends DRAMATICALLY.

• Barely. You really want 120 watts per channel to be on the safe side. If you are going to use the 656 than try not to go above 60 on the volumne knob if your system goes to 100 because you might clip the audio and ruin the speakers. These can take an incredible amount of power and work better and more efficient with more power. Underpowering the speakers is where you run into problems.
