“Is it 400w for the pair or 400 a piece totalling 800W for the pair?”

• I am no expert. However the speaker can at handle 600 watts from your amp. and I would assume that is Peak power. A speaker is individual power consumer.

• Since the RP-600M is a passive speaker, each speaker will require its own channel on your AV receiver or amplifier. Each speaker will have a peak power of 400W per channel, and an RMS of 100W per channel into 8 ohms, meaning we recommend using a receiver or amplifier that is rated at 100W per channel into 8 ohms.
