No, not noise cancelling. However, the excellent fit in the ear block ambient quite well, without audio distortion sometimes found in noise cancelling.

First, I can rarely ever get the Bose earbuds to fit into my ear and stay where they need to be to hear the maximum amount of sound. I'm constantly trying to twist and turn to get them to fix correctly. These headphones simply stick down in your ear perfectly and completely block out all noise. The highs are very crisp and the bass will blow you away. Every single one of my friends says the same thing. There isn't a competition! 11 !!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use them while practicing on my large acoustic drum kit. Plugged into my iPhone, I can keep the volume at a reasonable level and still block most of the noise from the kit. I would give them a solid 8 out of ten.
