“I recently purchased this subwoofer. It makes a buzzing noise when it is on. The buzzing noise is not loud and can be heard when TV volume is at low levels. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? It is very annoying. Thanks.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The speaker itself should not buzz; if it does, it is defective. If it is broadcasting a hum, it might be an electric line hum. Try putting the speaker's electric plug into the outlet in the opposite way, which will work because the plug is not polarized (one fork bigger than the other). If the speaker still broadcasts the hum, try plugging the unit into another outlet to see if that is the cause of the hum. If it is, go to Guitar Center and tell them what is happening, and they will sell you a small anti-hum device to plug the speaker into, which then goes into the wall.
