• Hello jim! Just about 3 35mm slides can be in the slide tray at a time. The tray has slots on either end This way slides can be inserted without having to remove the slide tray.

• Only 1 on the light table itself. I just fed them in from the right to push the current slide over so the next could be scanned. I would say that I could have 3 in the slider at one time. Did a fine job on all my slides.
