• When you scan negatives, the "negatives" has to be selected in the setup menu then it will change the image into a viewable picture that you will save just as you see it. If this is what you mean by reversing a negative then the answer is yes.

• Yes, it can reverse a negative electronically. In fact when I first turned it on it was set to negative, and it reversed my 1960s positive slide mounted in a cardboard frame, so I quickly learned about that setting.
