If you have the heater, this means you also received the product manual, which provides the information to operate it. I don't know what a respect button is.

Please unplug the unit for approximately 15-minutes. Please also try plugging into a different plug in a different room after allowing the item to sit unplugged for the recommended 15-minutes.
