“How can I get it to hold the temperature setting I put in. I put in 66* & it slowly goes up & is 67* now. The blower went out on my furnace & this heater is my only form of heat”

Most things that are controlled by a thermostat like your oven and this heater never give you a constant temperature. Instead, if you set it to 66, the heater will turn on and heat up until it gets to 67, then shut off until it cools down to 65, then turns on again and repeats this cycle (it actually goes higher and lower, but this is just an example). This gives the heating element a rest, and the overall temperature is an average of 65 degrees. Otherwise the heater would be constantly turning on and off every second trying to keep the heat at 66 degrees. If you want a more constant heat, get one of the oil filled heaters that look like a old fashioned radiator. They cycle too, but it gives off a more constant heat.
