• Yes, story mode can be played with one other person locally.(player 2 won't get trophies) Online it can be with up to i believe 4-5 ppl.. but that is just races. You would need another console in the house plus another copy of the game to get more than 2 local ppl to play.

• You can play with 1-2 locally. My son and I play together. You can also help each other with goals (depending on which player is signed into their career)
