This is so you can hide the cables in the wall/behind your tv
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two purposes with this unit. The primary is to provide a power outlet directly behind your wall mounted TV. This is necessary for TVs that have short power cables that cannot reach a nearby outlet or surge protector. The secondary reason is to provide access holes in their recepatacle boxes to pass A/V cables behind the TV then behind the wall to a lower point, usually obscured or hidden behind a dresser or cabinet where they can then be routed to a Surge Protector, Cable Box, DVD player, etc. By passing cables behind the wall, the visual appearance is cleaner, less cluttered. I installed the kit myself and it took about 3 hours but I had some obstacles in my wall to overcome. With no obstacles, one could install this kit in an hour if not less. I was told that Best Buy could install it for me, if I needed them to, for about $200. Yet, if you don't mind cables dangling from the bottom of your wall mounted TV, then this kit is not for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a safe way to plug a TV mounted to the wall and eliminates the wires being seen running down the wall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its to provide a power outlet behind a tv and eliminate the need for power to be ran exposed when mounting a tv. The kit can be installed by Geek Squad for a nominal fee when a tv is being installed. If tv is already installed, then additional fees may be assessed for the installation. Contact your local Best Buy location or call 800 Geek Squad for more details.
