Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. Replacement battery model #DLC7L that was attached is compatible with Canon Powershot model #SX30. Unfortunately we do not carry a replacement battery for model #SX40 at this time. Please check back with us in the near future as a replacement battery for model #SX40 is in development.
