“Is there an integrated card that is used when not performing intensive graphics?”

• Intel I7 can technically do its own graphics to some extent the short answer is yes, the long answer is no, simply because the NVIDIA Card in it is the dominant graphics card. Plus it makes no difference between using dedicated and integrated when you're not doing anything intensive. You won't save power, you won't extend the life.
