• Yes. This Chromebook uses Google Docs through the Google Server. Pages, the Google Docs version of Microsoft Word is completely compatible. You will be able to open, edit and return the document to the sender and they will be able to open your Google Docs version.

• Yes. It will open in Google Docs. You’ll also be able to print it or things you create in Google Docs to pdf in case you need that format to share with people who do not use Google Docs.

• If you have this software installed, yes. It comes with MS Office 365 as 'trial ware' but you only get it for short perod before having to pay for subscription. Me, I purged it and bought a cheap license key for MS Office 2016 on EBay and installed that.
