When you video chat does the person you are talking to need a Lenovo as well or can they use a smart phone to talk using FaceTime null

The smart display uses Google Duo to video chat. So anyone that has Google Duo can video chat with you. You can't video chat with someone using FaceTime or Facebook.

FaceTime is for Apple users. This is an Android product. So the answer is no.

When you are using the Lenovo Smart Display to make a video call you will be using Google Duo (with Google account) , and the person on the other end can use a cell phone with Google Duo (with Google account) too, or another Smart Display.
