Sure can, I have my mini in the next room. You can program it so that when you ask the mini to play music it will default to playing from the Lenovo. You can also broadcast messages throughout the home.

Try re-naming your speakers "bedroom speaker" and "living room speaker" and setting their respective locations in the Google Home app. This will allow for your devices to communicate and work in perfect harmony.

I've gone one of these and two minis in my house and they all work fine. You can even set them all up as a group and play music through all of them at the same time.
