• That's a ChromeOS thing. Use ALT-Backspace to delete.

• Hey Chris, An inherent characteristic of Chromebook Plus keyboard designs, designated by Google, are that while they may feature a backspace button, there generally is not a dedicated delete key. To complete a traditional delete (to remove text or files in front of the cursor), press and hold the alt + backspace keys.
