The processor in this system, the AMD FX- 870K is a 4-core, processor with a clock speed of 4.1GHz. A comparable 6th generation Core I-7 processor, the Core I-7 6700K has a clock speed range of 4.0 to 4.2GHz with Turbo Boast. So they are comparable in performance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Lenovo guy is just trying to sell you the computer. Any 6th Gen i7 is LEAGUES ahead of the FX 870k. Clock speed doesn't matter as much compared to everything wrong with the FX. If you want a comparable processor to any i7 6th gen CPU, go with an AMD Ryzen CPU. You will notice a big difference between the FX and the Ryzen.
