I'm 90% sure you would need a designated GPU for auto cad, despite the excellent CPU. But if you want to spend your money like someone who is NOT a millionaire, go to the auto cad website and check requirements there, then look for a computer that meets or exceeds them. The way you are going about things is backwards.

Based on the specs of this ThinkPad that the seller has listed, it may work well, but without a GPU (and knowing what your needs may be specifically), performance could fall short.
