There is not a HDMI port on this laptop. I imagine you could use a USB-C to HDMI cable to connect a dvd player.

DVD: A DVD drive can be connected but Chromebooks don't natively support playing commercial DVD movies. Data and personal videos stored on DVD would play just fine. As to both at the same time, this particular Chromebook has several USB ports so, yes, you can have both connected at the same time
