There is both a 30-day trial of McAfee virus protection as well as Windows Defender virus protection available on this Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 Desktop, model number 90MV0001US. The McAfee version is the only active virus protection at initial startup and activation of Windows 10. This will continue for the 30-day trial period. Then you can purchase a subscription to McAfee, uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender protection or install your own choice of 3rd party virus protection - Just uninstall McAfee before choosing Windows Defender or a 3rd party virus protection as there can only be one active virus protection software on the computer at a time.
