Yes you can hook the monitor up to a set top box because the tuner is actually part of the set top box but on this AIO the ports are mismarked and HDMI out is actually HDMI in. I wasted a ton of time trying to troubleshoot this. I found the answer on Lenovo's site but under the 24" not the 27" so I decided to give it a try and everything worked. The Quick Start Guide shows #4 as in and #7 as out but it really is the other way around.
