“I went to a store today and the associate told me this model had some type of system similar to a chromebook and I couldn't download programs unless it was in the store included with the computer. Has anyone else heard of this?”

I downloaded several programs that I use a lot without a problem. Evidently really was not familiar with this unit.

You should not have any issues downloading and running programs compatible with Windows 11 and the system specifications of this IdeaPad.
