This model comes with 1-year of Microsoft Office preinstalled, no other Microsoft Office software needs to be installed. If you did install addition Microsoft Office software, they could be the reason you are short on space. If you need more storage space, there is a Micro-SD card slot that can be used to add more space. Not all software will allow you to install to an SD card.

You can tell Windows to use this drive for updates, documents, and photos; that will leave the space free on the main drive for apps. Uninstall what you don't need; I removed McAfee since it doesnt really add value, and also removed a couple of windows components and was left with 11 GB free after Office installation.
