Like you, I was curious so I got out my Torx screwdrivers and opened mine up. I had downloaded the Hardware Maintenance Manual for it and saw that some of the versions of this style laptop had an M.2 2280 slot in them. Unfortunately, this model has a "blank area" where the connector would be. So we're out of luck trying to expand the storage.
