• It has ports for a mouse. The same port could be used for a dvd player. I’m not 100% sure if it has two usb ports.

• Yes to both. I purchased a portable dvd player. I do well enough without a mouse. There are usb ports on the laptop.

• There is one USB-C port, that also doubles as the charging port, and one USB-A port. So, in theory, you can add those peripherals, but you're going to want to try them quickly so you can return it if they don't work.
