“What's the ACTUAL maximum resolution this can output to an external display? Mediatek says 1920 x 1080p at 60Hz, but in testing I saw it do 1920 x 1080p at 30Hz-- Is this a cut down version of the chipset, or did Mediatek do a typo?”

• Replying to update that it must have been a one-time fluke, as I was able to confirm it CAN do 1920 x 1080p at 60Hz max refresh rate. All good from the Mediatek 520!
