First the bad news: you can't change the RAM whatsoever: it's LPDDR, which is soldered in. Details on Open Box items is somewhere on one of the links at the bottom of BB's pages (and there are different levels of such), but generally speaking, you at least get the equivalent of everything you would in a brand new item, but sometimes they may substitute a different charger or something else inconsequential. There aren't really any accessories, since the whole rationale behind a laptop is a completely self-contained PC, and who would spend the time and money to open a laptop and put in a different battery, just to make less money?

Most often, if there's any items missing, it's possibly a power adapter or documentation, not the battery. Also, memory cannot be upgraded with this model, as it is soldered to the systemboard.
