No. The RAM hard drive and battery are all user upgradeable. The original manufacturer's warranty will still cover Lenovo OEM hardware for 1-year from the date of original manufacture, printed on the outside of the original shipping the computer comes in. The replacement parts will not be covered by Lenovo but by any existing warranty provided by their original manufacturer.
