You cannot use DDR5 memory with it it only works with DDR4 laptop sodim! (The laptop came out before DDR5 went mainstream!) Anyways DDR4 is cheaper because it is older from what I heard it supports up to 32 GB but it could be 40 gigabytes of memory (a 32 GB stick and the 8 gigabytes soldered!)
