Don't know but the 12Gb GPU works great. Any upgrade past this GPU will literally double the price of the system. You cannot swap this GPU out. Example: you want to swap the $350 GPU for a faster one at $500. The price is $500 as they do not allow the swap. Hope that helps.

A bottleneck occurs when your graphics card supports higher PCI Express revisions (the higher the version, the faster the transfer rate can be), but your processor only supports lower revisions.
