• One could remove it by using a pair of pliers, but it's not meant to be removed.

• I do believe it is removable since it's a cable manager I use mine but it should be removable

• No... It is a separate piece but a molded hard plastic. You could probably break it off if you wanted to, but then you could never use it again in the future if you changed your mind.

• It is permanently part of the stand. It is for cable management.
