No, DDR5 SODIMM is requirwd for upgrade of ram. DDR4 would be too slow of a ram to support the processor . DDR5 ram can be obtained cheaply from bestbuy I upgraded the day i bought the laptop to 32gb DDR5 5200mhz ram for 60 bucks total RAM cost. Hope this helps.
