“Will this monitor work with my new macbook air 2020? I have an older Sceptre monitor that when i plug into my new macbook the picture is very stretched out and unclear. I want to ensure this one will work before purchasing.”

I've run my monitor with a 2020 M1 Mac Mini with no problems. Always check your settings in System Preferences>Display.
