• The Lenovo Q24i-10 is just the monitor. You will need to connect this monitor to a computer for it to function. The computer is sold separately.

• If by 'big machine' you mean desk top, then no, this monitor can be hooked to a laptop. That is if you have an hdmi port on the laptop, or have a converter. I currently have two of these hooked to my laptop, giving me three functional screens.
