The monitor stand is easy to remove and reinstall on the monitor. It slides in flush to the back of the monitor using a clip that is undone by sliding a small mount on the back. The stand itself does not fold when put together, but the arm and the base come apart into two pieces that are easy to travel with. It does require you to use a screwdriver to take the screws out that hold it together.

Here is a link to the User Guide for this monitor which illustrates the removing of the stand from the base: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/monitor/q24i_1l_ug_en.pdf. The stand arm does not fold. It disconnects for both the monitor screen and the base for transport.
