Sometimes, routers can overpower the signal from IoT devices like the smart clock. I have mine a room away and do not have many problems connecting. I'm guessing the signal from the smart clock is getting overpowered by the router because of how close it is. There is alot of research done in this field in academia
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's because the device needs to be in the range of coverage area of your router. If you install an extension router it will not get connect to the main WiFi network so, I am not sure if the device will be able to interact with the other two

The Smart Clock with the WiFi connectivity issue may need an update. Resetting the Smart Clock will allow the Smart Clock for new updates. To reset the Smart Clock back to original factory settings: With the device powered on, press down both the volume+ / volume- button for 10 seconds.
