Part 2 of my answer - of sorts. This morning one of my C by GE lights isn't responding to commands. At first it was slow in responding and then it quit altogether; staying in On mode. I mentioned that I had two bedside lights. Each has a different 'name'. One responds just fine, but the other one will not. So I'm thinking it is either a defective GE Smart Light, or the Lenovo Smart Clock is failing someway. I plan on getting another new bulb and syncing it with Google Home App and see what happens. If it chokes, then it must be the Lenovo Clock, or perhaps the lamp itself. Just thought I'd pass this along. Misery loves company ;- }

Or just the Lenovo? - I am only using Lenovo in the room; gonna guess you are too. What brand/type of smart light are you using? - I am using C by GE bulbs and have run into a few issues Have you ‘paired’ the smart light with the Lenovo Clock? Is it the same smart light you had paired with your Google Mini? - If using the same light, I’m pretty sure you’ll need to ‘reset’ your smart light and then pair with the Lenovo Clock as a fresh Set Up Device. - I found ’reset’ instructions for my C by GE lights on the internet. Slightly involved with turning off, then on, then off, etc. but not difficult. - Something to consider that perhaps only GE Customer Service can clarify: Will their Smart Lights only work properly in a On/Off lamp socket, or will they also work in a 3-way (low, medium, high) socket. - I had trouble using a 3-way (initial set up and reset process) and so switched to On/Off socket lamps. Did finally get the bulb reset, paired and working. I also bought a new bulb just to make sure I was starting fresh and could get it to work. I ran into difficulty getting the Set Up to finalize. The Google Home App couldn’t find my bulb after many tries. I think I was rushing the process and when I let it sit for a bit it would complete the process (make the bulb blink, etc.). After getting the Lenovo Clock and Light synced it worked. However, I have run into times where the Lenovo Clock won’t turn off the light/s (I have two bed-side lamps). Even after repeating the command. And then after a few minutes it/they shut off. I’m still experimenting to see what may trigger this; length of time the bulb/s have been on? TV or window a/c sound interference? Other Bluetooth devices in the room (TV sound bar, etc.) Hope this provided some useful info. All of this ‘Smart Stuff’ seems to take much longer than anticipated to get to work. Reset and start over seems to be my go to solution.
