It uses a micro sd card. It has a usb port and comes with a cable but you will need to get a power adapter to charge it separately from the dock.

More practical to use the microSD slot, which is for expansion, not file transfers since it formats for Android. It can charge by USB-C or dock. So yes, it can charge without the dock. But not by a specific wall charger, essentially just a wall charger with USB output and a USB-A to USB-C cable.
