• Yes, keyboard is back-lit and this function can be turned on and off. It was turned off out of the box for me and took me a few minutes to find the toggle. Lights up the character on the key and the outline of the key. Works very nice.

• Yes. Hold down the "FN" key and the spacebar. This will turn the light under your keyboard on.

• That is one of the best parts! Hit 'Function Space Bar' and it turns on the backlight.
