A:Answer loud is comparative. I returned the acer spin 5 because it was really loud, and the pitch was deeper, sounding a bit like a broken machine (it wasn't broken - that was normal), and not covered by anything I was listening to - a real drag when watching a movie during quiet scenes. comparatively, this is a much more reasonable fan noise, about what I expect out of a laptop, and easily covered by any music you might be listening to, or ambient noise eg in a café. it's not so bad in a quiet room, even, but again that's subjective.
