• A:Answer Hey, ironvarol. The charging port is not USB-C. It is connector specific to Lenovo to support the 170W needed to supply to this Yoga Pro 9i. It does feature two USB-C ports (one of them being Thunderbolt 4) that supports charging up to 100W. Using a USB-C charging device should work in theory; however, as a disclosure and disclaimer, this unit was not designed with USB-C charging solely in mind, and by not delivering a high enough wattage to the Yoga Pro, your system may charge slower, and even during strenuous workloads the battery may drain faster than the 100W or lower USB-C charger can supply and performance may drop during that time.

Q: QuestionCan a pen be used with this laptop, for an architectural student? If so, which pen do you recommend?

• A:Answer HI! I use a "powered stylus pen for touch screens" on my phone, tablet and laptops (12 year old ASUS and my new Yoga Pro 9i 16"). They run $10-$20 depending on brand and style. Some have a fine point, wider point or both tips and charge via USB cable. The pen I've been using for 5.5 years is no longer available, however, there is one by NTHJOYS which looks near identical in appearance and function (it also has a clip). Both this and the one I currently use have a smooth metal fine point tip that never wears out (no tip replacements needed) and the wide end works without the pen being turned on.

Q: QuestionI am an engineering student and this was the laptop I was going to choose until I realized the GPU isn't supported as official hardware for SolidWorks CAD software, is there a way that Solidworks could run on this laptop with no issues?

Q: QuestionDoes Macafee come pre installed with the laptop? If the answer is yes, I won't buy it. Gamers hate it with the constant pop up ads and it's useless as windows defender is already in place. Did I also mention I didn't want it and it's hard to uninstall?

• A:Answer It takes no more than 20 seconds to uninstall it. Press the windows key, start typing “add or remove” and you’ll see a result for add or remove programs. It pulls up a list of installed programs on your computer in alphabetical order. Scroll to mcafee, select the options next to it, uninstall. You have to say yes I want to uninstall, yes I know I have a free trial and still want to uninstall, and then the uninstall is done in seconds. That’s all.

• A:Answer Hey RonM, In theory, this is possible without adapters, but a specific cable type may be necessary to attach one of the two external monitors. To elaborate on this, we'll call the first monitor, Monitor A and the second monitor, Monitor B. If you connected Monitor A via the system's HDMI port, this is a widely used cable that can be purchased from a variety of places, including Best Buy. But, to connect Monitor B, it would need to be done using either of the Yoga Pro 9i's USB-C ports. Since you do not wish to use adapters, you would need a specialty cable--a USB-C to HDMI (or respective displaly connector) that is less common but is likely to be sold at Best Buy depending on the connection type you need for Monitor B. Also, while the HDMI and USB-C ports should both drive a max resolution and refresh rate of 8K/60Hz, since we do not know the maximum resolution of the monitors in question, we cannot definitively say if this Yoga Pro 9i can support this max resolution.
