An air purifier works differently from a fan. It pulls air from the room through vents and sends it through a three-stage filter to remove dust, allergens, bacteria, smoke, and odors. After filtering, an internal fan pushes the clean air out of the top. Its main job is to purify the air, not to circulate it like a fan.
