Aside from the PlasmaPro models (which has an optional plasma function), all Levoit air purifiers are ozone-free and do not produce ions. Please note that the PlasmaPro models also have ozone free versions on our website (Core 200S, 400S, & 600S). They work purely mechanically by drawing in air and filtering it through our 3-stage filtration system.
