Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG over-the-range microwave model MVEF1337F. We understand your inquiry regarding airflow coming from the left grille even after verifying correct external vent installation. According to LG’s flexible venting design, this model can be configured for room recirculation or external venting through the roof or back wall. When set up for external venting, make sure the duct damper is properly installed and the blower assembly is oriented correctly for exhaust to the outside. Additionally, even with external venting, it’s common for the microwave’s internal cooling fan to exhaust a small amount of air through the grille area (often toward the upper left) to cool internal components independent of the hood vent airflow. This internal exhaust is separate from the main exhaust path and can be felt as airflow near the grille. If you notice unusually strong airflow or hear excessive noise, you can double-check that the blower fan is rotated/configured per the installation instructions so that the primary vent path leads outside, and that the grease filters are clean and properly seated to avoid obstruction. Cleaning or replacing the charcoal/grease filters regularly helps maintain optimal airflow and prevents buildup that could cause backpressure or increased noise. If everything appears correctly installed and filters are clean, but you still have concerns about airflow patterns or performance, we’d be happy to look further into your specific installation details. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-1-3-cu-ft-low-profile-over-the-range-microwave-with-sensor-cook-and-zero-clearance-door-black/6571540.p?skuId=6571540 Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport with any photos of your installation setup or additional questions, and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions tailored to your kitchen configuration.
