It's definitely not an over-the-range model but it could fit into a shelf cubby if it has about 17" of depth to sit in. The features are comparable to a larger built in.

As a Countertop microwave, it should be placed on a flat surface such as a kitchen countertop or a specially designed microwave oven cart at least 39.4" (100 cm) from the floor. It cannot be placed above a gas range and it has to have free airflow around it so you would need to allow at least 4 inches of space at the top, sides and the back of the microwave for proper ventilation. The air vents should be kept clear during cooking to prevent the oven from overheating. When the oven overheats, a sensitive thermal safety device automatically shuts the oven off and the oven will remain inoperable until it has cooled sufficiently...^IFV
