There is no difference in my experience. I own an air fryer and this. It doesn’t do nearly as good of a job as an air fryer. It takes double the time to do similar results. I was disappointed as I was hoping to get rid of my air fryer but it remains.

Convection Over-the-Range Smart Microwave (MVEL2125F). To answer your question directly, while both modes utilize a heating element and a fan to circulate hot air, Air Fry mode is specifically designed to use a higher fan speed and targeted heat distribution to achieve a crispier texture similar to deep-frying, often without the need for preheating. Convection mode, on the other hand, is optimized for traditional baking and roasting, circulating air more gently to ensure even cooking throughout the food. We understand how important it is to know which setting will provide the best results for your favorite recipes. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-1-7-cu-ft-convection-over-the-range-smart-microwave-with-sensor-cooking-and-air-fry-stainless-steel/J7G56535PF For further assistance and any specific concerns you may have, please contact us on [email protected]. —Renzo
