• Hi! Yes. I have it venting from the top of the microwave itself (in-house). This is the standard configuration. And it works great for me. I hope this helps.

• Yes, the fan can be moved to exhaust from the front or through the top. Mine came setup to vent through the front. The installation instructions will tell you how to move. It's not hard
