• Yes, it can be vented three ways - into the room, straight out the back horizontally or vertically out the top to a vent duct.

• Yes John. If your house already had the vent exhaust. Youtube it , or follow the instructions. Ps: I think you have to unscrew/return the exhaust on the microwave toward the exterior vent.
