“My contractor asked me to purchase a micro hood and a vent, are those included? I currently don't have it because my kitchen is still in remodel mode. If it's not included, is there a particular size I need to look for and what kind of brand?”

The vent is included and normally is with over the range stoves. Don’t confuse this with and exhaust as one takes the air to the outside of the house and one just filters light smoke and smells when cooking smelly fish or baking in the oven. The vent has small filters that do need to be cleaned and replaced every so often and people who cook a lot of fried foods really should clean the bottom of their microwave a lot. As this will keep a good microwave from lasting 10 years to only 5 or 7 tops.
