“My LG microwave has a minor scratch at top of door. There is a cleaner/polisher available but it says for non-coated surfaces only. Is the stainless on this microwave coated?”

I bought an “open box” unit, it had some scuffs, like where it rubbed against something, not really scratches. I very lightly sanded the areas with 600 grit sand paper, less than the weight of a hands pressure then followed up with 00 and 000 steel wool. No one will ever know that it had those scuffs
